WHAT IS "STAR WARS: HUNT FOR
THE HOLOCRON"?
SW:HFTH is an action-adventure film being
produced by Spitzfire Productions. The
film is in the style of the Original Trilogy and features
an ensemble cast of talented young actors who spend the
film clashing lightsabers, narrowly escaping
the forces of evil, and engaging in spectacular space-battles.
WHAT IS THE FILM ABOUT?
Responding to a distress-signal on the
their home planet of Eliaen, Bando and Sahn Jinkuru soon
find themselves custodians of a dangerous cargo and caught
in a galaxy-wide race against the forces of evil. Aided
by a wounded Jedi and a mysterious smuggler, the boys
must find a way to get to Coruscant before the powerful
Lord Dregr Jarrat can find them...
WHAT MAKES THIS FILM SPECIAL?
The point of the project has always
been and continues to be simple: tell a good story with characters we care about. The
writer/director, Martin Spitznagel, with the help of many talented friends, wrote the 60-page script that propels the exciting character-driven
story to its conclusion. The film was then made by a group of nine young people (Cast and Crew)
who have devoted 6 years' worth of spare time to this "little Star Wars movie."
WHEN WILL THE FILM BE RELEASED?
A difficult question. The first trailer for the film promised "Winter 2003" as the release date. Whoops! Because we're making the film in our spare time, it's taken a long time to come together. It is a big job.
HOW
LONG WILL IT BE?
The current estimated running-time is
30 minutes.
HOW MUCH DID IT COST TO MAKE?
The film's final budget
was somewhere between $10,000 to $15,000. The majority of this was
either paid for out of pocket or by the generous support
of our incredible executive producers,
without whom none of this would be possible. No credit
cards were maxed-out in the making of this picture, however.
WHERE CAN I SEE A TRAILER?
You can see the first teaser-trailer
here. Expect another as we begin to add effects-shots and get the
audio cleaned up.
THE COSTUMES LOOK AWESOME! WHERE CAN
I GET ONE?
The costumes were designed and built by the brilliant Hermes Barreto,
III, whose legendary reputation in the world of fan films
is well-deserved. Words can't recommend him highly enough.
